° The six product sectors are confirmed with a new one: Key Storage Expo, dedicated to static residential and industrial utility scale energy storageRimini, Sept. 11th, 2023 – The second edition of K.EY – The Energy Transition Expo starts setting new records.
A few months after the closure of the first stand-alone edition and about six months before the inauguration of the second edition, scheduled from 28th February to 1st March 2024 at Rimini Expo Centre, the IEG´s (Italian Exhibition Group) reference event on energy transition in Southern Europe, Africa and in the Mediterranean region has already registered bookings for more than 80% of the exhibition spaces, with the presence of companies of international relevance.
The number of brands from abroad joining the event is growing, testifying to K.EY´s ambition to expand the number of participating countries and involve all those that demonstrate a potential and strong demand for innovative technologies and solutions for energy transition, with the aim of strengthening the international scope of the event, thanks also to the synergy with numerous foreign Associations and an increasingly broad and complete conference programme, defined by the K.EY Scientific Committee chaired by Professor Gianni Silvestrini.
For the next edition, the exhibition area is expected to increase, to occupy the entire east wing of the Rimini Expo Centre, divided into 14 pavilions, with about 30% more exhibitor brands (of which over than 15% more from abroad) and 25% more international buyers from Germany, Spain, France, Holland, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Eastern Europe, the Balkan area, Turkey, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and Central Asia.
The event will keep the spotlight on energy efficiency and on the transformations taking place in the energy market, while also considering the new and numerous advantages that energy transition offers to countries bordering the Mediterranean: an opportunity to learn about and present the main technological innovations and new financial opportunities, as well as to reflect on energy and climate policies in Europe and in Italy.
K.EY 2024 confirms the successful format tested in March 2023, consolidating its role as a reference network for all the communities involved in the energy transition, able to connect the key players in the sector and fostering constant dialogue with the institutions.
The six themed exhibition areas (Solar, Wind, Hydrogen, Energy Efficiency, e-mobility and Sustainable City) will be joined by a seventh, Key Storage Expo, entirely dedicated to static residential and industrial utility scale energy storage, which is experiencing a moment of strong development throughout Europe.
The presence of the Sustainable Building District, realised in collaboration with the main partner Green Building Council Italia, and the area dedicated to innovation, further strengthened thanks to the collaboration with ANGI (Associazione Nazionale Giovani Innovatori), are confirmed: not only specific paths dedicated to Italian and international start-ups, innovative SMEs and exhibitors to show their most innovative technologies and solutions, but also conferences, pitches and discussion opportunities, within a reserved space where to meet, network, share ideas and develop new sustainable projects and businesses.
The initiative is organised by Italian Exhibition Group and promoted in cooperation with ICE – Italian Trade Agency, ART-ER, a consortium based in Emilia-Romagna, FONDAZIONE MAI, Sistema Confindustria. The main partner is ANGI.
In conjunction with K.EY 2024, will also return DPE Distributed Power Europe, the European event organised by Italian Exhibition Group in collaboration with the Distributed Generation Association – Engines, Components, Generators centralised into ANIMA Confindustria, dedicated to the entire electrical generation, distribution, safety and automation ecosystem, showcasing the solutions and technologies from the entire electricity generation and distribution systems and components industry.
K.EY is part of Italian Exhibition Group´s exhibition district dedicated to Green & Technology, which brings together the leading events in the sector. Together with Ecomondo, IBE Intermobility & Bus Expo, Tecna and DPE, it is part of the digital platform GreenTech Insights (GTI), the network that brings together the communities of the district´s shows to support and guide companies, start-ups, organizations, administrations, to act more ethically and responsibly by using new digital technologies to meet European climate neutrality targets in 2050.
GTI produces multimedia and informational content available to communities throughout the year and organizes digital events linked to in-person trade shows to fuel the debate on energy transition, amplifying communication on the topic and fostering connection among all stakeholders involved.
