RIMINIWELLNESS 2022: DAILY REPORT – FRIDAY 3RD JUNE

THE IDEAL TRAINING PROGRAMME? IT´S WRITTEN IN OUR DNA
Exercise based on what is written in our DNA thanks to a diagnostic test that helps us formulate an ideal training programme built on our genetic characteristics. An innovation announced by Dante Lab, a leading Italian genome sequencing company based in Dubai and L´Aquila, during a press conference held on the second day of RiminiWellness 2022, the 16th edition of Italian Exhibition Group´s event dedicated to fitness, sport, wellness and healthy eating, ongoing at Rimini Expo Centre until Sunday 5th June. Thanks to the partnership with GetFIT, as of July 1st, in GetFIT Lifestyle clubs and training centres, Dante Lab will be distributing genetic DNA tests from Scientific Fitness Report that will allow certified instructors to formulate a plan to optimise a person´s training regime based on the genetic variants that affect physical aptitude and metabolism.

ANIF CONFERENCE, COZZOLI: ´EVERY FAMILY SHOULD BE ABLE TO DEDUCT A SWIMMING POOL OR GYM MEMBERSHIP FROM THEIR TAXES´
The President of Sport and Health, Vito Cozzoli, spoke at the conference entitled ´Sport reform, a tool for the restart´, organised by ANIF at RiminiWellness, addressing an audience of gym managers and owners. ´Our country must grow in terms of practicing sport,´ said Cozzoli, ´and Sport and Health wants to accompany you on this path. Sport is now a right in the Constitution, for all and of all. We need to move from a logic of emergency interventions, clearly necessary in the pandemic, to a structural strategy that favours the social, economic and industrial development of the sports system. There are now opportunities for sports facilities provided by the NRRP and other things. The fitness sector boasts at least 25 thousand companies, a catchment area of 20 million Italians, 5.5 million of whom are registered users of fitness centres, and a turnover of 12 billion euros. A ´spa bonus´ is available but there is no ´sports bonus´ yet, which would be an incredible lever, both for spreading the practice of sports and in economic terms for the sector. Families should be able to deduct a subscription fee for a swimming pool or gym from their taxes. One might also imagine bonuses for the purchase of sports equipment and incentives for investment in facilities. Since sport is health, there should be a move towards allowing doctors to prescribe structured exercise. Companies could also favour sport in their corporate welfare.´
