ITALIAN EXHIBITION GROUP, VISITING RIMINI FROM THE GREAT CHINESE REGION OF GUANGDONG A GOVERNMENT DELEGATION AND OPERATORS OF THE JEWELRY SECTOR

Relations for the development of a strategic chain of Made in Italy are intensifying,
after similar initiatives related to green economy and the tourism business

Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) continues and intensifies its institutional and business relations with China.
Today, at the Rimini exhibition center, IEG President, Lorenzo Cagnoni and CEO Ugo Ravanelli welcomed an institutional delegation from Guangzhou and its jewelry sector (the area was once called Canton), the third Chinese city with over 13 million of inhabitants, capital of the Guangdong province, which alone has a population doubling that of Italy (over 100 million people).

It is a densely populated region, with two other megacities such as Shenzhen and Dongguan, while Guangzhou is a rapidly growing modern city. Together with Hong Kong it is a strategic area that boasts advanced communication systems, including high-speed surface transport.
Among the expanding areas of the region is the Panyu district, recently developed and characterized by a productive and marketing division of jewelry products.

The Vice Mayor of Guangzhou Mr. Chen Zhiying and the Deputy Mayor of Panyu District Mr. Huang Ka were present in Rimini this morning to lead the delegation. In the framework of the partnership between IEG and CIBJO, the World Jewelry Confederation, Dr. Gaetano Cavalieri, President of CIBJO, was also invited.
Today´s meeting in Rimini follows a series of institutional meetings dedicated to studying the development of the trade show business in China for the jewelry sector. In this context the Chinese authorities and operators promised to reach Vicenza during VicenzaOro, and to also visit the exhibition center and the city of Rimini.

IEG´s main objective is to favor the Italian production chains most interested in developing business relationships on such extraordinarily dynamic markets, by forging strategic relationships and setting up projects aimed at representing Made in Italy.
Italian Exhibition Group therefore wants to increase its presence in a particularly significant market for its trade shows.

A few months ago - in September 2018 – the green economy system was at the center of IEG´s attention, with the signing of the agreement with Chengdu ZhongLian Exhibition Co., Chinese company organizer of the Chengdu Environmental Protection Expo (CDEPE); agreement for the development and organization of exhibitions in the green technology and environmental protection industries with a particular focus on the Western area of China.

Also in 2018, IEG also entered a joint venture in China for the development of two events aimed at the tourism business: the Shanghai World Travel Fair in May and the Travel Trade Market last September in Chengdu.
