FROM 25th MAY FOR A MONTH THE VOLLEYBALL NATIONS LEAGUE RESTARTS GREAT SPORT AT RIMINI EXPO CENTRE
From May international volleyball with 32 teams and 248 matches, in June gymnastics, in July dance sport: IEG´s Rimini Expo Centre´s modularity and safety are key factors
Rimini, 15th April 2021 – IEG - Italian Exhibition Group spotlights great sports at Rimini expo centre. ´The procedure regulated for professional competitive activities´, says IEG president Lorenzo Cagnoni – ´along with our organizing expertise in the sector and the acknowledged flexibility of use of the Rimini expo venue, now enable us to acquire new events and receive confirmation of others characterized by years of success of the format and important economic benefits for the surrounding area.´ For IEG CEO Corrado Peraboni, ´We are approaching an overall restart and the energy of sport is an excellent support for the future. The success of our Muscle Show in Dubai was the most effective demonstration of this. In Rimini, we have once again prepared ad hoc conditions, in total compliance with restrictions and protocols, but ready to exploit every planning opportunity.´
Things take off on 25th May with an event with an international profile that will highlight Rimini throughout the world with one of the most enthralling exciting sports shows. ´FIVB, the International Volleyball Federation´, explains Marco Borroni, IEG´s Sport & Entertainment Events group brand manager, ´has chosen Italy and Rimini as the location for the 2021 Volleyball Nations League (VNL). 32 national women´s and men´s teams will compete until 27th June at the expo centre, where a ÔCOVID-free bubble´ will be created.´ There will be a total of 248 matches and all the national teams will be quartered in the surrounding area in logistic conditions ensuring the utmost safety. Another important sign from the Rimini Riviera.
From June 18th to 27th Rimini Expo Centre will host the 2021 edition of Ginnastica in Festa. Also in compliance with the protocols approved by Coni and CTS for sports events, the event will be held with the customary amount of spectacularity. And there is even more good news: The Italian Gymnastics Federation has confirmed the staging of another event, from December 4th to 8th 2021, with competitions featuring gymnasts with a high athletic profile.
And then, from July 8th to 18th, great Dance Sport will be back: Rimini Expo Centre will host the marvellous colours of the Italian championships of the Federazione Italiana Danza Sportiva (Italian dance sport federation).
