IEG: RIMINIWELLNESS OFF IS BACK, SECOND EDITION OF THE OFF-SHOW FOR FITNESS AND WELLNESS ON THE MOVE

• The initiative presented today by the President and CEO of IEG with the Mayor of Rimini in attendance
• For four days, in conjunction with RiminiWellness, Rimini will become a huge open-air gym
• More than 240 events, free and open to all

Rimini, 23rd May 2024 - After the success of last year´s first edition, RiminiWellness OFF, the fitness, wellness and sports off-show event, organised by Italian Exhibition Group and Rimini City Council in conjunction with the 18th edition of RiminiWellness, is back. Stages, gyms, equipment, opportunities to meet and train: there really is everything in the more than 240 appointments that, from Thursday 30th May to Sunday 2nd June 2024, will transform the old town centre, the Sea Park and Rimini beach into a huge open-air gym where events, courses, lessons and meetings on health and wellness topics will be hosted.

The press conference to present the initiative was held this morning in the Board Room at Rimini Expo Centre with IEG President, Maurizio Ermeti, and CEO, Corrado Peraboni, who illustrated the spirit of an initiative aimed at the entire city and the many tourists who will be in Rimini during the first weekend of June. The mayor of Rimini, Jamil Sadegholvaad, and Luigi Angelini, RiminiWellness OFF Coordinator, were also present.

The philosophy of RiminiWellness OFF is to involve residents and guests by giving everyone the chance to discover and try the activity best suited to their physical condition and level of preparation for themselves.

´RiminiWellness,´ IEG President, Maurizio Ermeti, explained, ´is the event of international appeal that marks the opening of the summer season on our Riviera. A highly successful and popular event that this ´off-show´ further enriches by taking the energy and vitality of the trade show to numerous areas in the city, offering everyone the chance to personally experience the benefits of an active and healthy lifestyle. The total of events scheduled will involve 42 organisers and 37 local associations and professionals.´

´RiminiWellness, The Wellness Experience Show,´ continued Corrado Peraboni, CEO of Italian Exhibition Group, ´will, as always, be an event brimming with new ideas, all to be experienced. And RiminiWellness OFF is our way of involving the entire city in the event. From 30th May to 2nd June, Rimini Expo Centre will host tens of thousands of operators (who, in this case, are often also enthusiasts), more than 300 exhibiting brands, 200 hours of conferences and educational moments and something like 1,500 hours of training sessions.´

And that´s not all. This year´s already unique programme is set to stage yet another real treat: the Davis Cup exhibition won by Italy last November, which will be making a stop in Rimini during RiminiWellness (Thursday 30th and Friday 31st in the South Hall of the Expo Centre and at the Galli Theatre on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd).

RiminiWellness OFF events will include
Cotto al Dente functional workouts and yoga in the Square on the Water at Tiberius Bridge and at the Sea Park
Arena Wellness Talks - every day from 6 to 8 pm - private beach of the Grand Hotel with doctors, psychologists and nutritionists
Area Ausl Romagna - Saturday 1st June, in the Sea Park in front of Beach 19
Gazebo to provide information and educational materials on healthy lifestyles and how to prevent chronic diseases. Health walks in the Sea Park.
CUSB Bologna University Sports Centre - Thursday 30th and Saturday 1st, 7-9 am and 6-8 pm - Piazza Malatesta, no. 30 (Courses on muscle toning, Pilates, yoga, functional and total body, open to the entire population)
RBR Rimini Basket - Friday 31st May and Saturday 1st June - basketball court in the Sea Park and Sun Padel Club. Quadrangular wheelchair basketball tournament, demonstrations of sitting volleyball, wheelchair padel, Paralympic fencing
4-legged trainers - fitness walk with dogs - Sunday 2nd June, departure from Tiberius Bridge
Technogym - square on the water at Tiberius Bridge.
