° The next appointment will be from 5 to 7 September 2025, again at the Misano World Circuit

Rimini, 24th June 2025 - New acquisition for Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), which has taken over a majority stake in Movestro Srl, the company that conceived and organizes the Italian Bike Festival.

IBF, Europe´s leading platform for the bike industry and sustainable mobility, is the International Bike Show that has been attracting market attention in Rimini since 2018. The last edition, held at Misano World Circuit in September 2024, featured more than 600 brands and 57,000 end consumers and industry professionals. New trends and innovations are presented at IBF in a hospitality ecosystem with over 300 bike-friendly hotels along the Romagna coast.

´IEG is a global trade show organizer,´ says IEG CEO, Corrado Peraboni, ´that looks at growing sectors with considerable international reach, able to offer valuable experience and content as well as business. We will work together with the existing staff to further develop IBF, an event that, in recent years, has been able to fully intercept both the sharp rise in its industry of reference and people´s passion for cycling tourism.´

´It is a great pleasure for us to join IEG and contribute in the development of the IBF,´ adds Fabrizio Ravasio, one of the Italian Bike Festival´s creators. ´This union is the result of a mutual and deep esteem for the work of both parties, which has matured over the years. IEG´s vision has always coincided with ours in identifying the bicycle as the key to the economy of the future and in proposing the trade show as a fundamental economic driver for this market. Together we will work to increasingly consolidate IBF as a crucial hub for supply, demand and business opportunities, but even more as a showcase for innovation.´

The bike economy amounts to almost 3 billion in turnover (source: National Association of Bicycle-Motorcycle Accessories), with an impact on employment that puts the workforce at 17,600 people. Exports produce a surplus of 75 million euros and the Italian bike economy is, however, asserting itself as an economic phenomenon, a model of development that integrates sustainability, technology and territorial enhancement.

The show´s leadership also involves an economic tourism segment that, according to the Chambers of Commerce Economy of Tourism Observatory, ISNART (National Institute for Tourism Research), saw nearly 57 million presences in 2023, for a direct economic impact of more than 5.5 billion.

IEG aims to give IBF´s already steady and powerful growth an even greater boost. The founding managers, key players in the extraordinary commercial and participation results achieved in recent years, will remain at the helm of the event together with IEG.
IEG has scheduled the Italian Bike Festival´s development according to a shared business plan and will contribute with its organizational experience that stems from its position as the leading international player in the organization of proprietary trade show events, combined with the financial solidity recognized by the stock market. As of now, IEG will act to increase the public and its involvement, investing in relations and the brand, also in view of Velo-City, the main world event on cycling, scheduled to take place at Rimini´s Palacongressi Conference Centre in 2026.

Institutional connections with the territory will be maintained and further consolidated, particularly with the Emilia-Romagna Tourist Board and Visit Romagna, which, acknowledging the event´s attractiveness for a strategic segment of tourism demand, in recent years, has supported IBF.

IBF is part of the broad portfolio of events related to ecological transition, mobility and quality of life that IEG organizes around the world.
