IEG LAUNCHES A NEW EVENT: SUSTAINABLE INNOVATION IN THE MARITIME INDUSTRY THE FOCUS OF MIT.EQ 'MARINE INNOVATION TECHNOLOGY EQUIPMENT EXPO'
Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) is launching
MIT.EQ ´MARINE INNOVATION TECHNOLOGY EQUIPMENT EXPO´, a new event in line with its Green&Technology exhibitions. MIT.EQ will take place from 5th to 7th March 2025 at the same time as
KEY - The Energy Transition Expo, Europe´s leading event specifically for integrated technologies and solutions for energy efficiency and renewable energies in the Mediterranean area, which, at its 2024 edition, recorded 53,157 attendees from 107 countries and 837 exhibitors, 33% of whom came from abroad.
As IEG´s Business Development Manager Italy & EU,
Marco Cecchini explains: ´MIT.EQ will be an international trade show event for professionals in the maritime industry and stems from a precise market need: to have a focus on sustainable development and innovation in the sector. The marine industry is a strategic sector for Italy and we believe there is room for a new vertical event dedicated to the entire supply chain. MIT.EQ will not only be a B2B trade show but also a speaking platform to heighten the debate on sustainable innovation within the sector, highlighting companies´ growing commitment to cutting-edge, sustainable eco-technological innovations.´
At a time when the global marine industry is undergoing increasing market demand and facing challenges such as sustainability and safety, it is strategic to foster networking initiatives within the entire industry´s production and service chain.
MIT.EQ will host companies from various sectors: supply and subcontracting in boat building; supplies for interiors, furnishings, systems and materials; supplies for ports and marinas; safety and rescue equipment; machinery, propulsion, systems and accessories; technical clothing and accessories; marine electronics.
And it will be complemented by a technical-scientific programme focusing mainly on the topic of sustainable innovation in the marine industry. Discussions will alternate with business moments and the exchange of experiences regarding the best solutions that the marine and yachting industries as a whole have adopted. Sustainability will play a primary role in the debate and in the exhibition proposals with the aim of meeting the international challenges on decarbonisation and making the boating industry a niche leader in the international maritime community.
