At the inauguration of SWTF, the opening speech was by Emanuele Guido, responsible for international and national business development with IEG, and Chairman of EAGLE, followed by greetings from Mr. Özgür AYTüRK, tourism counsellor of the Turkish embassy in Shanghai. Travel&Hospitality Industry Vision - the study carried out by IEG - highlighted a growing demand for tailor-made journeys, as well as a search for authenticity in real relations, not virtual ones, with the sector´s experts, who support clients in the choice and preparation of tailor-made journeys. A tool and guide for the trade members, the study emphasizes IEG´s role in the tourist industry as a provider of unique quality contents and strategic information for companies that want to be competitive in the global tourism universe.
IEG´s next appointment in China with the EAGLE joint-venture is at the Travel Trade Market (TTM), from 5th to 7th September 2018 in Chengdu, Sichuan, a purely B2B event dedicated to Chinese inbound and outbound tourism, with buyers from all over the world. For IEG, EAGLE represents a hub for the Far East markets, particularly in the tourism sector, which the Group covers with the leading tourism business expo TTG Travel Experience (Rimini Expo Centre, 10-12 October 2018).
