Vicenzaoro January – The Jewellery Boutique Show 2020, the first international event for the gold – jewellery sector, organized by IEG – is ready to go tomorrow

The Show will open at 11 o´clock with the much-awaited seminar organized by CIBJO, then, at 5 pm the Palladio Theatre will be the setting for VISIO.NEXT, followed by the official opening ceremony. The entire jewellery community is expected in Vicenza until 22nd January. T-GOLD, the international show for jewellery machinery and technologies, and VO Vintage, the big new entry for vintage watches, will be staged at the same time.

Vicenza (Italy), 16th January 2020 – Just a few hours to go to the start of Vicenzaoro January The Jewellery Boutique Show (VOJ), the international show of reference for the gold and jewellery world, organized by IEG - Italian Exhibition Group at its Expo Centre in Vicenza.

From tomorrow, 1,500 brands will be exhibiting at Vicenzaoro January – representing the entire production chain – organized into communities based on positioning and target to make it easier for traders and buyers from over 130 different countries to tour the Show.

The event will open at 11 o´clock with the much-awaited seminar organized by CIBJO, the World Jewellery Confederation, entitled ´Size is important. Responsible, sustainable supply and SMEs´.

At 5 pm, the Palladio Theatre will be staging VISIO.NEXT, which offers an overview of the Made in Italy jewellery industry with the support of Club degli Orafi Italia and the direct involvement of three of its members, Bulgari, De Beers and Vhernier, in a partnership that strengthens Italian Exhibition Group´s role as an innovation and development platform at the service of sector companies. Opening greetings will come from IEG´s Managing Director, Corrado Peraboni and Club Degli Orafi Italia President, Gabriele Aprea.

The official opening ceremony will follow with the cutting of the ribbon attended by Lorenzo Cagnoni - President of Italian Exhibition Group, Francesco Rucco – Mayor of Vicenza, Cristina Franco - Vice President of the Province of Vicenza, Elena Donazzan – Veneto Region´s Councillor for Education, Training, Work and Equal Opportunities, Ivana Ciabatti – President of Federorafi, Carlo Maria Ferro – President of ICE Agenzia, and Achille Variati – Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of the Interior.

Open until 22nd January, VOJ is the first event of the year for the gold-jewellery sector as well as the most awaited and exclusive stage for viewing top market brands´ latest creations.

T.GOLD, the international Show for jewellery machinery and the most innovative technologies applied to gold and jewellery processing, will be staged at the same time and both events will run until the 22nd. But that´s not all.

This year, the Vicenzaoro January programmes has been further enriched with VO VINTAGE, an innovative and elegant marketplace specifically for vintage watches and jewellery with some of the most unique and coveted pieces and rarities in the world.
From 18th to 20th January, in an exclusive context reserved for collectors and enthusiasts in the foyer on the first floor of the Expo Centre, VO VINTAGE will involve 30 world famous exhibitors. And not only: the new format will also include interventions from the greatest collectors, such as Sandro Fratini, and the most esteemed and well-known experts, like Giulio Papi, the most famous master watchmaker in the world.

There will also be room for innovation and the younger generations. In fact, during Vicenzaoro January, the 40 winners of ÔThe Gold Run´ hackathon, devised by IEG in collaboration with Padua University and open to 60,000 students and researchers, will also be awarded. A call for ideas aimed at imagining new ways of wearing and wrapping jewellery, thanks to cutting edge production technologies and unprecedented packaging. The winning ideas will be submitted to an advisory board consisting of companies and key sector players.
